Introduction
This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains your cancellation rights and the circumstances in which you may be entitled to a refund when purchasing background-check services from Candii Screening Limited (“Candii”, “we”, “us”).
1. Your right to cancel
Under UK consumer law, you normally have the right to cancel an online purchase within 14 days of placing your order.
However, background-check services typically begin immediately after payment is processed.
By confirming your order at checkout, you expressly request that we begin the service immediately and acknowledge that you will lose your right to cancel once the service has started.
This request and acknowledgement are obtained during the checkout process before you complete your purchase.
2. When you can get a refund from us
You may be entitled to a refund if:
- We are unable to process your order due to reasons within our control; or
- We have not yet shared your details with a background-check provider and you notify us promptly of your wish to cancel.
3. When refunds are not available from us
Refunds will not be issued once we have shared your details with a background-check provider, as at that point the service has begun.
Any issues relating to the completion, quality, or outcome of the background check itself will be managed by the relevant background-check provider (e.g. Veremark Limited, Checking Your Staff Limited, or EBC Global Ltd) under their own terms and policies.
4. How to request a refund
To request a refund, please email us at info@candii.io with your order details.
If you are eligible for a refund, we will process it to your original payment method within 10 working days of confirming that a refund is due.
